KDevelop 5.6

KDevelop 5.6

The KDevelop development team has released release 5.6 of a free software IDE created by the KDE project. KDevelop provides support for various languages (such as C/C++, Python, PHP, Ruby, etc.) through plugins.

This release is the result of six months of work focused mainly on stability and performance. Many of the existing features have been improved, and there is one very notable addition: the display of inline problem notes on source lines. This function will show a short description of the detected problem on the line containing it. In color and with an appropriate icon, depending on the severity of the problem. By default, inline notes will be shown on lines containing warnings and errors, but you can change them to show them either for hints or only for errors. You can also turn it off completely.

Also in this version, support for CMake projects, C++ and Python languages has been improved and many minor bugs have been fixed.
