KeePass is a password manager that has been updated to version 2.43.

What's new:

  • Added tooltips for certain character sets to the password generator.
  • Added the option "Remember the settings for hiding the password in the main window" (Tools → Options → Advanced tab; the option is enabled by default).
  • Added an intermediate level of password quality - yellow.
  • When the URL override field in the edit entry dialog is not empty and the URL field is empty, a warning is now displayed.
  • Now, in case of failure when sending a request to generate a password (for example, due to an invalid pattern), an error message is displayed.
  • Added 'Synchronizing database file' and 'Synchronized database file' trigger events.
  • Improved the Password Agent import module to support XML files created in version XNUMX.
  • The MasterKeyExpiryRec config can now be set to the master key expiration date instead of the master key expiration date.
  • On Unix-like systems, file transactions now store Unix file permissions, user ID, and group ID.
  • Added workaround for initial .NET error.

  • Improved sending of characters that are implemented using Ctrl + Alt/AltGr.

  • Selecting main menu items can now be canceled by pressing the Esc key.
  • The top level in tree views cannot be collapsed unless rootlines are displayed.
  • New entries in a group with an email folder icon now have the same icon by default.
  • Improved auto scrolling in the main list.
  • If usernames are hidden in the main window, then the username editing window no longer displays tooltips with them.
  • Function keys without modifiers can now be assigned as system-wide hotkeys.
  • Web requests to rename/move files now use the canonical representation of the destination name/path.
  • Base placeholders for URL overrides can now be used inside {CMD: ...} placeholders.
  • Immediately after the import, information about the deleted object is now added/removed depending on the time of the last modification and the time of deletion.
  • Improved compatibility of 'Delete Duplicate Entries' command with process memory protection.
  • Improved handling of commands containing quotes or a backslash.
  • Various UI text improvements.
  • Various code optimizations.
  • Minor other improvements.
