Khronos provided the opportunity for free certification of open drivers

The Khronos Consortium, which develops graphics standards, has provided developers of open graphics drivers opportunity certification of their implementations for compliance with the requirements of the OpenGL, OpenGL ES, OpenCL and Vulkan standards, without paying royalties and without having to join the consortium as a member. Applications are accepted for both hardware open source drivers and fully software implementations developed under the auspices of the X.Org Foundation.

After checking for compliance, the drivers will be added to List of products, officially compatible with Khronos-developed specifications. Previously, certification of open graphics drivers was carried out at the initiative of individual companies (for example, Intel certified its Mesa driver), and independent developers were deprived of this opportunity. Obtaining a certificate allows you to officially declare compatibility with graphic standards and use the Khronos trademarks associated with them.
