Now Kingdom of Night is raising money for Kickstarter. The developers set a goal of $10, but surpassed it in less than 48 hours. Additional money will go to the soundtrack, modes and more.

As Black Seven Studios itself describes Kingdom of Night, the project is similar to Diablo and Earthbound at the same time. This is a game about growing up, space horror and true love. You assume the role of John, an ordinary guy who will face an extraterrestrial evil - the Demon Lord - suffering townspeople, school bullies and a stream of interesting side stories.

The game takes place in the eighties of the last century in the small town of Watford, Arizona. A strange cult overzealous in their attempt to contact the Great Outland - due to their ignorance, the fanatics came into contact with an ancient evil. After patiently waiting for thousands of years, the Demon Lord Baphomet has come to our world. To stay on Earth, the Demon Lord must marry a dugout before sunrise. And he had his eye on John's neighbor, Ophelia. Bursting into her window late at night, Baphomet took her to his Leviathan fortress. With only a few hours left to complete the twisted ritual of the demonic wedding, the Demon Lord organizes protection from his Generals. The dead are rising from their graves, demons are wreaking havoc on the streets, and it's up to you to defeat the Generals, defeat Baphomet, and save Ophelia before it's too late.

You will be able to choose one of nine classes, each of which has three branches of development. Each branch contains ten talents. When you get a new level, then you are allocated points that need to be distributed to any of the three branches. This branch will be assigned to you until the tenth level. After that, you can switch to another branch, which will allow you to choose the style of the game for yourself and the situation. In Kingdom of Night, you need to explore the world, fight demons and find more powerful equipment, just like in Diablo, in order to defeat the Demon Lord.
