The presented product complies with the JEDEC Universal Flash Drive specification version 2.1. The declared operating temperature range extends from minus 40 to plus 105 degrees Celsius.

It is important to note that the module is characterized by increased reliability, which is important given the scope of its application. Thus, Thermal Control technology protects the product from overheating in high temperature conditions that can occur in automotive systems. The Extended Diagnosis feature helps the CPU easily determine the status of the device. Finally, Refresh technology can be used to refresh data residing on a UFS module and help extend its storage life.

When creating the module, Kioxia combined its own BiCS Flash 3D flash memory and controller in one package. The product can be used as part of on-board infotainment systems, digital instrument clusters, information processing and transmission facilities, and ADAS solutions.

We add that the Kioxia family of automotive UFS modules also includes products with a capacity of 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB.
