Geely, China's largest automaker, which has invested in Volvo and Daimler, announced on Thursday the launch of Geometry's premium all-electric vehicle brand. The move was made by the company in connection with plans to increase the production of new electric vehicles.
Geely said in a statement that the company will take orders overseas, but will mainly focus on the Chinese market and will release more than 2025 all-electric vehicles in various categories by 10.
The company also said it has already received more than 26 pre-orders worldwide for its first Geometry A electric vehicle, unveiled today in Singapore. The electric car will be produced in two versions - standard (standard range) and with an extended range (long range), which use three-cell CATL lithium batteries with a capacity of 000 and 51,9 kWh, respectively.
The range of the standard version of Geometry A on the NEDC driving cycle is 410 km, the range of the Geometry A long range version reaches 500 km without recharging, which removes all doubts about the range of travel in an electric vehicle.
Geometry A consumes an average of 13,5 kWh per 100 kilometers. The powertrain delivers a maximum output of 120kW with 250Nm of torque, allowing the Geometry A to reach 100km/h in 8,8 seconds.
