Chinese TV brand Skyworth, "befriending" with TMall, will offer inexpensive TVs in Russia

The site for the production of Skyworth TV in Russia will be the plant of the Chinese electronics vendor TVP CIS in St. Petersburg, where Philips TVs are also produced. Other key partners include Horizont and ELKO Russia (offline distributor). The company expects to double the sales of its TVs on the local market within a year and bring the annual production volume in the Russian Federation to several hundred thousand TVs. One of the main online sales channels will be the TMall.ru platform, as it was announced back in August last year. Representatives of the companies signed a cooperation agreement yesterday.

Skyworth was founded in 1988 and is engaged in the production of TV and other multimedia equipment both under its own brand and for other companies. In the Chinese TV market, it ranks first, and globally, according to the company, it is one of the top three. In Russia, on the TMall site, Skyworth will start selling 10 TV models with a diagonal of 32–58β€³: these are SmartTV (in the terminology of the AI ​​TV manufacturer) based on Android with integration of the Google Home platform, and smart TVs based on its own Linux platform, and regular TVs. The range of recommended prices is from 10 to 50 thousand rubles. In honor of the start of sales on TMall, the company will hold a sale of new products at reduced prices on March 28.
