The Trojan is capable of infecting smartphones running the Android operating system. The malware can automatically transfer money from the victim's account via a mobile banking app to the attackers' account.

Experts say that the functionality of the new Trojans for Android has almost come close to banking Trojans. A new type of malware is focused on maximizing the capitalization of their operators' businesses.

It is noted that at least two large Russian banks faced a threat. The appearance of such malware is also confirmed by Kaspersky Lab.

However, while cases of infection with viruses of a new type are quite rare, but the possibility of an epidemic cannot be ruled out.

According to Group-IB estimates, during the year - from July 2018 to June 2019 - attackers using malware for Android were able to steal 110 million rubles. Every day, an average of 40 successful attacks are carried out, while the amount of one theft is approximately 11 thousand rubles.
