Koei Tecmo Plans to Release Western Version of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers

Koei Tecmo has published its financial outlook through March 31, 2021. From it became known a lot of interesting things. For example, sales of the digital version of Nioh 2 increased by 101%. In addition, sales of boxed editions of Koei Tecmo games increased by 60,4%. The company also mentioned the Western version of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.

The Koei Tecmo report states that the first addition to Nioh 2 and the upcoming Fairy Tail RPG will release on July 30th, while a sequel to last year's Atelier Ryza is in the works. All this was already known before. But the mention of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers stood out from the rest. To date, SEGA has yet to confirm a Western release for the game, however Koei Tecmo has included it in its earnings forecast through the end of March next year.

Last December, SEGA also trademarked Persona 5 Strikers, a shortened name for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. The game is a sequel 5 person, but in the genre of action, not RPG. Four months after the events of the original story, the Joker and his team of Phantom Thieves investigate a series of mysterious cases. The project was released on February 20, 2020 on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

As of now, neither SEGA nor Atlus nor Koei Tecmo has announced that Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will be released outside of Japan. However, Atlus has released quite a few of its games in the West in recent years, including offshoots of the Shin Megami Tensei series and all three Persona Dancing titles.

Recently, SEGA and Atlus also announced a remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, which is scheduled for release in spring 2021 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
