Developers from the Finnish studio Frozenbyte together with the publishing house Modus Games the fourth installment of his magical platform Trine series back in October 2018, and the debut trailer and screenshots in March 2019. The Nintendo version of Trine: Ultimate Collection will also be released on physical media, and players will be able to receive bonuses in case of pre-orders. The collection includes Trine: Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, and Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.
In addition to the games themselves, Trine: Ultimate Collection includes a collectible double-sided cover and physical world map of Trine 4. In addition, players will receive codes to download the original soundtrack of the entire series and a digital art book. Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will tell a new story of old characters: the wizard Amadeus, the knight Pontius and the thief Zoe, who will go to save the disappeared Prince Celia, familiar from the Nine Parchments cooperative action movie from the same studio. On a journey through the magical kingdom, they will fight monsters that have entered the world from the prince's nightmares. As usual, co-op is provided.
