The report notes that the development of new Google Glass has already been completed and prototypes of the device are currently being tested. Presumably, the third generation of Google Glass will go on sale no earlier than the second half of 2020.

Let us remember that the first generation of Google Glass devices appeared on the market in 2013. Sales of the first generation glasses ended in 2015, and in 2017 the company released a version Google Glass Enterprise Editionoriented towards the corporate segment. An updated model was announced in May 2019 Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2.

The source reports that the third generation of Google Glass is equipped with a smaller battery compared to the previous model, due to which it was possible to reduce the weight of the device. The Enterprise Edition version of the glasses is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 820 mAh, while earlier models were powered by a 780 mAh battery. According to reports, third-generation Google Glass will be able to work for 30 minutes without recharging.
