Konami plans to publish more Western third-party games after Skelattack

As Konami's senior European brand and business development manager Richard Jones told GamesIndustry, this is part of the company's new publishing program.

β€œWe're looking to publish more games from Western studios,” Jones said. β€” Therefore, the focus of the European team is the domestic audience. Obviously, everyone is familiar with Konami, we have studios and teams in Japan, and many franchises that are known and loved by fans. "They are all managed and serviced by our studios in Japan, and we are looking for additional games to build a portfolio of projects that may be something new for Konami - Western games for Western audiences."

It is not reported whether Konami plans to take on the publication of larger Western games or limit itself to independent ones, such as Skelattack. Last year the company commented that didn't finish with "high quality console games" despite popular belief.

Let us remind you that Skelattack was developed by the Californian studio Ukuza. This is a platformer in which you take on the role of a skeleton and go to save the Underworld. People attacked your home and kidnapped the Afterfarm elder. They strive to find the source of magical power that feeds the dead. The game was released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
