To end
The Wonderful 101 was released on the Nintendo Wii U more than 6 years ago, but only a small part of the players got acquainted with the action because the console failed in sales. Now Platinum Games wants to publish their own titles, and has started by re-releasing The Wonderful 101 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. βIn order to try to remember exactly how this game came about,β wrote The Wonderful 101 director Hideki Kamiya, βI dug through the contents of one of my old hard drives and found several documents and images that stirred up a lot of memories.β Below you will see how The Wonderful 101 started.
The Wonderful 101 Concepts
The pages of the document are dated September 2010. Many ideas and mechanics were already formed in the head of Hideki Kamiya, which was rare for him. βBy the way, I drew all the sketches you see here (LOL),β he added. βAt that time there was no team, so I had to draw everything necessary, as well as make a design document myself.β
Platinum Games also updated the information regarding the technical part of The Wonderful 101: Remastered on different platforms. The Nintendo Switch will reportedly play at 1080p in TV mode and 720p in handheld mode. On a regular PlayStation 4, the action will run at 1080p, while the PS4 Pro will provide 2160p. The PC version will play at 1080p and support for ultra-wide monitors is also planned. Platinum Games wants all versions to run at 60fps.
The next Kickstarter target is Luke's First Mission, which will be added to The Wonderful 101: Remastered when it hits $1,5 million. The next is a remix of the soundtrack with a "special secret guest" at around $ 1,75 million. The Wonderful 101: Remastered will be released on PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in April 2020.
