Thousands of web developers and software specialists traditionally took part in the conference.

β€œThe safety of our community is a top priority. In light of the advice from the Washington state health authorities, we have decided to digitize the annual Microsoft Build developer event,” the Redmond giant said in a statement.

In other words, the conference will be held in virtual space. This will avoid the accumulation of a large number of people associated with the risk of further spread of the disease.
