Coronavirus: Ubisoft delays release of Trackmania Nations remake by almost two months

The delay is due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic: β€œOur teams are adapting to working from home and while we are back to good performance, we still need more time to readjust.”

According to the developers, the transfer was the best option for the development of events for both the players and the team behind Trackmania (that's what the remake is called), "especially given the circumstances."

As a kind of compensation for the not so good news, Ubisoft Nadeo presented the debut gameplay trailer of Trackmania, in which the game can finally be seen in motion.

Trackmania announced in February of this year. At the time, Ubisoft promised "a fresh take on the series and creative innovations" as well as regular content updates, including an official seasonal campaign.

The developers’ appeal, among other things, refers to the postponement of the Trackmania ZrT Cup esports tournament for an indefinite period due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition was supposed to start on June 13th.

Previously, other games also suffered from the consequences of COVID-19: they will not be in time by the appointed date Wasteland 3, The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man VRand PC version of Death Stranding.
