A space tourist will spend about an hour and a half in outer space

Details have surfaced about a planned program for the first-ever spacewalk by a space tourist. Details, according to RIA Novosti, were disclosed in the Russian office of Space Adventures.

Recall that Space Adventures and Rocket and Space Corporation "Energy" them. S.P. Koroleva (part of the state corporation Roscosmos) recently signed a contract to send two more tourists to the International Space Station (ISS). One of them will leave the orbital complex in 2023 together with a professional cosmonaut.

So, it is reported that a tourist will be able to spend about an hour and a half in outer space - 90-100 minutes. This roughly corresponds to one revolution around the Earth.

β€œThe astronaut is not a professional, and the difference between such an exit and a six-seven-hour one is fundamental,” representatives of Space Adventures said.

In the course of extravehicular activity, a space tourist will be able to hold a photo session, admire the orbital complex, and also look at our planet from all sides. But move away from the ISS and fly in outer space will not succeed.

We add that Roskosmos and Space Adventures have been cooperating in the field of space tourism since 2001, when the first space tourist, Dennis Tito, flew into orbit. In total, seven people have been in space as part of tourist flights, and Charles Simonyi, a billionaire of Hungarian origin, has visited the ISS twice.
