During the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, the publishing house Electronic Arts and the studio Respawn Entertainment, which gave us games in the Titanfall universe, finally presented the first trailer for the expected action adventure game with a third-person view Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (in Russian localization - “Star Wars” "Jedi: Fallen Order").
The game is about Cal Kestis, one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the clone army carried out a purge of the entire galaxy in accordance with Order No. 66. He is hiding on Brakka, the new planet of Star Wars, trying not to stand out. and works as a laborer in one of the factories that turns old spaceships into scrap metal.
“It wasn't always like this. But now... there are three rules of survival: don't stand out, accept the past, don't trust anyone. The galaxy has changed. Whatever happens, don’t use Her,” he tells viewers in the trailer. Then an industrial accident occurs, and Cal breaks his rules - he uses the Force to save his comrade.
After this, the guy's life clearly goes off track, and he has to go on the run across the galaxy, being pursued on the heels of elite stormtroopers trained to hunt the Jedi, and the Second Sister, one of the Inquisitors of the Empire. The woman in the ominous mask has bad intentions, and she seems to be familiar with the dark side of the Force. In the trailer, we are shown the faithful companion droid BD-1, the use of the Force, a Jedi sword, and also a meeting with either a rebel or simply a person who is not averse to helping the enemy of the state. "Do not trust anyone. Just believe... in the Force,” the video ends with these words from Cal.
The creators emphasize that this is a story-driven single-player project, without containers and micropayments, and describe it as follows: “You have to hide from the Empire, whose formidable inquisitors are hunting for the hero. Develop your Force abilities, master your lightsaber skills, and unravel the ancient mysteries of a long-gone civilization to increase your knowledge of the Force. Only then can you begin to revive the Jedi Order. But remember: the Empire will follow you relentlessly."
Much attention will be paid to the intricacies of lightsaber combat - attacks, blocking, dodging - all this will have to be used to surpass your enemies. It is mentioned that the game will explore ancient forests, wind-torn rocks and jungles full of mysteries. Players will decide for themselves when and where to go (apparently, something like an open world awaits us). Along the way you will meet new friends like the mysterious Cere, as well as some familiar characters from the Star Wars universe.
How interesting Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be, players will have to find out this year - Respawn Entertainment and EA have promised to release the project on November 15 in versions for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Pre-ordering the base version of the game promises unique cosmetics for the lightsaber and companion droid. The Deluxe Edition also includes behind-the-scenes "director's cut" footage of the making of the game.
