Media Molecule has announced that it will release the first major Dreams update this month.
The update will offer more learning elements, templates and resources. The level cap will increase, and Dreamiverse will gain social features such as blocking other users.
In addition to this, the studio told Game Informer that it is aware of the desire of users to have different control options. Media Molecule is currently working on this and will allow for mouse and keyboard support in the future. Currently, Dreams requires a DualShock 4 or PlayStation Move to control the imp (game cursor), and the keyboard can only be used for typing.
βAccessibility is really important to us, and that includes accessibility for people who have difficulty using motion controls, so things like a mouse and keyboard help with that,β said senior designer Jon Beech. βSo yes, anything can happen for the sake of accessibility.β For us, it's a matter of prioritizing the motionless controls that PS4 uses, and then we can look at possible mouse and keyboard support."
