"Some people study history, and some people make it": Tropico 7's first gameplay trailer showed what it's like to manage an island paradise.

Published by Kalypso Media and developed by German Gaming Minds Studios сообщили on the release of the first gameplay trailer for their political city-building strategy game Tropico 7.

As a reminder, Tropico 7 players will once again take on the role of El Presidente, a familiar face from previous installments, as they lead the island nation of Tropico to prosperity, by all means fair and foul.

Tropico 7 debut gameplay trailer (in VK The video (available in Russian) lasts just over 45 seconds and gives viewers a glimpse of what it's like to rule an island paradise.

The video shows streets being laid out through bustling neighborhoods, presidential ambitions are ready to move mountains, and citizens' loyalty is channeled in the right direction: "Someone studies history, and someone makes it."

"El Presidente doesn't just govern; he orchestrates chaos with style. Every street and every building serves a purpose, and every citizen is part of the brilliant leader's grand design," the press release notes.

They promise the largest islands in the series' history, five new campaign maps (and 20 for the sandbox), 10 scenarios, a wide range of political and creative possibilities, and a new terraforming system.

Tropico 7 is expected to be released in 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass (Ultimate, PC). Russian text localization is planned.
