Until now, LADA Vesta buyers could choose between a manual gearbox and an automated manual transmission (AMT). Now, complete sets with a continuously variable transmission of the Japanese brand Jatco, which is widely used on cars of the Renault-Nissan alliance, will be available.

The main feature of the automatic transmission is that, in addition to a V-belt transmission with a powerful steel belt, a two-stage gear sector works here. This decision made it possible to make the unit more compact and 13% lighter than previous samples. This design increases traction characteristics and at the same time is not afraid of frost, slippage and heavy loads. Plus, high acoustic comfort and fuel efficiency are provided.

It is noted that the transmission has passed a full cycle of tests as part of LADA Vesta, including the operation of vehicles at temperatures from minus 47 to plus 40 degrees Celsius.

In addition, the transmission has been specially adapted for LADA Vesta. At the same time, new calibrations of the power unit were developed, an original exhaust system, new wheel drives, and modernized supports were used. Together with an automatic transmission, a 113-horsepower HR-16 engine was installed on LADA Vesta for the first time.

The new transmission will be received by LADA Vesta sedan and sedan Cross, SW and SW Cross. Prices have not yet been disclosed.
