The device is allegedly being created as part of an initiative codenamed B Project. The production of prototypes of an unusual device has already allegedly been organized: from 1000 to 2000 copies of the gadget will be made for the purpose of comprehensive testing.

There is practically no information about the characteristics of the smartphone. It is only known that the roll-up screen is made using organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology. Specialists from the Chinese company BOE took part in the development of this panel.

In addition, LG's immediate plans for the release of other smartphones have been revealed. So, the announcement of a flagship device called Horizontal is scheduled for the second half of this year. In 2021, a device named Rainbow will see the light. What features these models will have is not yet clear.

Note that in the first quarter of this year, according to Gartner, shipments of smartphones on an annual basis fell by 20,2% to 299,1 million units. Such a sharp decline is due to the spread of the coronavirus, due to which many communication salons and retail outlets were forced to suspend work.
