LG Electronics (LG) announced today, June 3, the start of official sales of the world's first 8K TV made using organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology.

We are talking about the 88Z9 model, which measures 88 inches diagonally. The resolution is 7680 Γ— 4320 pixels, which is sixteen times higher than the Full HD standard (1920 Γ— 1080 pixels).

The device uses a powerful intelligent Alpha 9 Gen 2 8K processor. The TV is said to provide the highest image quality, including deep blacks.

Of course, the creators took care of high sound quality. Support for Dolby Atmos and the implementation of β€œsmart” algorithms that provide the most realistic audio picture are mentioned.
