LG introduced two mid-range smartphones, the K2019S and K50S, ahead of the IFA 40 exhibition.

Their predecessors LG K50 and LG K40 were announced in February at MWC 2019. Around the same time, LG introduced the LG G8 ThinQ and LG V50 ThinQ models. Apparently, the company intends to continue to use the names of its predecessors for new models, adding the letter S to them.

The LG K50S and LG K40S running Android 9.0 Pie use 2,0GHz octa-core processors and feature larger displays than their predecessors. The rest of the new items are slightly different from previous models.

The LG K50S features a 6,5-inch HD+ FullVision display with a 19,5:9 aspect ratio. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, flash drive - 32 GB, there is a slot for microSD memory cards up to 2 TB. The rear camera of the smartphone includes three modules: a 13-megapixel module with phase detection autofocus, a 2-megapixel sensor for determining the depth of the scene and a 5-megapixel module with wide-angle optics. The resolution of the front camera is 13 megapixels. The battery capacity of the smartphone is 4000 mAh.

In turn, the smartphone LG K40S received a HD + FullVision screen with a diagonal of 6,1 inches and an aspect ratio of 19,5:9. The amount of RAM is 2 or 3 GB, the capacity of the flash drive is 32 GB, there is a slot for microSD memory cards up to 2 TB. The smartphone is equipped with a dual rear camera (13 + 5 megapixels) and a 13-megapixel front camera. The battery capacity is 3500 mAh.

Both new products are equipped with a DTS:X 3D Surround Sound audio system and a fingerprint scanner, comply with the MIL-STD 810G standard for protection against shock, vibration, temperature extremes, humidity and dust, and also have a separate button to call the Google Assistant voice assistant.

Smartphones LG K50S and LG K40S will be available in October in black and blue. The price of the devices will be known later.
