The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted South Korean company LG Electronics a patent for a "Display panel for car" (Display panel for car).
As can be seen in the illustrations accompanying the document, this is a multi-section screen that will be installed in the front of the machine.
In the proposed configuration, the panel contains three displays. One of them will be located in the place of the traditional instrument panel, another in the central part, and the third in front of the passenger in the front seat.
The patent belongs to the design category, so nothing is reported about the technical characteristics of the development. But you can see that all three screens in the panel have an elongated shape.
The product is designed primarily for connected vehicles. The displays will display both data on the operation of on-board systems and multimedia materials. Obviously, support for touch control will be implemented.
