LG Electronics has announced a schedule for updating smartphones available on the European market to the Android 10 operating system.
It is reported that the device will be the first to receive the update with support for fifth generation mobile networks (5G) and the ability to use a Dual Screen accessory with an additional full screen. This model will be updated to Android 10 in February.
In the second quarter, the update will become available for the G8X ThinQ smartphone, which last fall at the IFA 2019 exhibition.
The release of updates for the G7, G8S and V40 smartphones is scheduled for the third quarter. Finally, during the last quarter of this year, updates will be released for the K50S, K40S, K50 and Q60 devices.
LG Electronics emphasizes that the updates will not only include Android 10, but also the latest LG UX 9.0 user interface.
On the eve that LG may abandon further production of G Series smartphones in order to increase market share and return its mobile division to profitability. At the same time, the company can create a new family of “smart” cellular devices.
