LG, according to network sources, is thinking about a new smartphone equipped with a multi-module camera with an original arrangement of optical elements.
Information about the device is published on the website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
As you can see in the illustrations, a pentacamera will be located in the back of the device body - a system that combines five optical blocks. Two of them will be combined into a node with a horizontal orientation: an LED flash will be placed between these elements.
Three more optical modules will be placed vertically below the horizontal section. Thus, the system as a whole will have a T-shaped configuration.
At the front, there is a dual selfie camera. The fingerprint scanner is likely to be integrated directly into the display area.
In addition, patent images indicate the presence of a symmetrical USB Type-C port and a standard 3,5mm headphone jack.
Unfortunately, it is not yet clear when an LG smartphone with the described design may appear on the commercial market.
