LG launches K12+ smartphone with Hi-Fi audio chip

LG Electronics has announced the X4 smartphone in Korea, which is a copy of submitted a few weeks earlier K12+. The only difference between the models is that the X4 (2019) has an advanced audio subsystem based on the Hi-Fi Quad DAC chip.

The rest of the specifications of the novelty remained unchanged. They include an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) processor with a maximum clock speed of 2 GHz and PowerVR GE8320 graphics, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory, a microSD slot, single rear and front cameras with a resolution of 16 and 8 megapixels, respectively.

The smartphone display has a diagonal of 5,7 inches and displays 1440 Γ— 720 pixels. The body of the device is protected according to the MIL-STD 810G standard, it has a separate physical key to launch the Google Assistant voice assistant.

The communication capabilities of the LG X4 (2019) are provided by 4G VoLTE adapters, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/GLONASS, and a 3000 mAh battery is responsible for autonomy. A fingerprint scanner is located on the rear panel of the device, the dimensions of the case are 153,0 Γ— 71,9 Γ— 8,3 mm and weigh 145 g. Support for two SIM cards and a 3,5 mm audio jack are declared.

Sales of LG X4 (2019) will start on April 26 at a price of $260. The model will be available in two colors - black (New Aurora Black) and gray (New Platinum Gray). Whether it is planned to supply the K12+ version for music lovers to other countries has not yet been reported.
