CentOS Leader Announces Resignation From Governing Board

Karanbir Singh announced his resignation as Chairman of the Governing Board of the CentOS project and resignation of the leadership of the project. Karanbir has been involved with the distribution since 2004 (the project was founded in 2002), served as a leader after the departure of Gregory Kurtzer, the distribution's founder, and chaired the board of directors after CentOS was taken over by Red Hat in 2014.

The motives for leaving are not explained, but a change in the direction of development of the distribution is mentioned (it means moving away from the formation of classic releases of CentOS 8.x in favor of a continuously updated test edition of CentOS Stream).
