The release of the grml 2022.11 live distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux has been presented. The distribution positions itself as a tool for system administrators to recover data after failures. By default, the Fluxbox window manager is used.
Key changes in the new version:
- packages are synchronized with the Debian Testing repository;
- live system moved to /usr (the /bin, /sbin and /lib* directories are symbolic links to the corresponding directories inside /usr);
- updated versions of key packages: Linux 6.0, Perl 5.36, Python 3.10, Ruby 3.0;
- Memtest86+ 6 with UEFI support is integrated into the Live build;
- added ZFS support;
- default dbus setting provided.
