Lockheed Martin, a NASA partner, is developing a spacecraft concept that can not only take people to the moon, but also return back. Representatives of the company say that such a project can be successfully implemented if there are enough resources.
It is assumed that the future spacecraft will be formed from several modules. The developers intend to use detachable elements that will allow you to descend to the surface of the moon, as well as rise from it when you need to return to the ship. The lander will also be used for a future space station that NASA plans to build near the moon to the moon's surface. This concept assumes that the astronauts will first get to the station, and from there they will be delivered to the lunar surface on the descent module.
Representatives of Lockheed Martin believe that, despite the scale of the project, it is quite feasible. The advantages of this project include the fact that the company does not need to create all the necessary equipment from the very beginning.
