Logitech has announced the Harmony Express universal remote control, which is now available for pre-order.
The main feature of the new product is the ability to interact with the Amazon Alexa intelligent voice assistant. Users can use simple voice commands to control home theater components, request information, etc.
The kit includes the remote control itself, as well as an infrared transmitter. Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth are supported. The set of buttons on the remote control is kept to a minimum, since the user can perform basic control using his voice.
For setup, use the Harmony Express mobile application, available for devices running Android and iOS operating systems. Using this program, you can also activate the remote control search function: in this case, the remote control will beep.
The new product receives power from a rechargeable battery, the charge of which is enough for a month of use. Energy replenishment is carried out via the USB interface.
