Logitech buys streaming developer Streamlabs

Logitech has announced that it has entered into a deal to acquire California-based Streamlabs, which was founded relatively recently in 2014.

Streamlabs specializes in developing software and specialized tools for streamers. The company's products are very popular among users who broadcast on such well-known platforms as Twitch, YouTube, etc.

Logitech and Streamlabs became partners about two years ago. The acquisition of Streamlabs is expected to help Logitech expand its family of gaming devices with streaming software.

Under the terms of the signed agreement, Logitech will pay approximately $89 million in cash for Streamlabs and another $29 million in its securities. The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks.

Note that Logitech is a well-known Swiss manufacturer of computer peripherals. The company produces keyboards, trackballs, mice, headsets, webcams, speakers, etc. Logitech was founded in 1981.
