The Chinese company Xiaomi has released the Mi Router AX1800, which can be purchased at an estimated price of $45. Sales will begin this week - May 15.
The new product supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, or IEEE 802.11ax. Of course, compatibility with previous generations of Wi-Fi standards is implemented, including IEEE 802.11ac.
The router can operate in the frequency ranges of 2,4 and 5 GHz. The design includes a hidden antenna module that provides stable all-round coverage.
It is based on a Qualcomm APQ6000 processor with a separate NPU module. The amount of RAM is 256 MB. The equipment includes 128 MB of built-in flash memory.
OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) technology has been implemented. In addition, it talks about support for the MU-MIMO (Multi-user MIMO) system.
The router is capable of serving up to 128 devices simultaneously. The new product is housed in a black case in a tower format.
