MegaFon reported on the work in the last quarter of 2019: the key financial indicators of one of the largest Russian mobile operators are growing.
Revenue for the three-month period increased by 5,4% and amounted to 93,2 billion rubles. Service revenue rose by 1,3%, reaching 80,4 billion rubles.
Adjusted net profit increased by 78,5% to RUB 2,0 billion. OIBDA (the company's operating income before depreciation of fixed assets and amortization of intangible assets) increased by 39,8% to RUB 38,5 billion. OIBDA margin was 41,3%.
βIn the fourth quarter, MegaFon continued to develop its retail network by introducing a new generation of sales outlets with a high level of service and a special approach to servicing. The average number of customers in the renovated stores increased by 20%, the average daily revenue increased by 30β40% compared to the stores of the traditional format,β the operator notes.
The report says that the number of data users rose by 6,7% to 34,9 million people. The number of mobile subscribers in Russia remained at the level of 75,2 million people.
In the fourth quarter of 2019, approximately 2470 new base stations in the LTE and LTE Advanced standards were put into operation. The company is actively preparing for the introduction of the new 5G standard in Russia.
