Firefox Lockwise Password Manager

Submitted by Firefox Lockwise password manager, formerly codenamed Lockbox. Lockwise includes mobile apps for Android and iOS to access your saved passwords in the Firefox browser on any device, without installing Firefox on them. There is an auto-fill function in any application (enabled in the system settings). Project source code spreads licensed under MPL 2.0.

To synchronize passwords, the standard capabilities of the Firefox browser and your Firefox Account are used. Lockwise connects to synchronization as different browser instances. To protect data, AES-256-GCM and keys based on PBKDF2 and HKDF with SHA-256 hashing are used; the protocol is used to transfer keys Onepw.

In addition to mobile applications at the moment developed A browser add-on that offers an alternative to the built-in password management interface. It is still experimental (for example, it does not work with a master password), but in the future it is planned to make it a system addition.

For now, the applications are in beta testing; by default, sending telemetry with generalized information about the features of working with the application is enabled. Release of a stable version is planned for the next week.
