Very soon, AMD will officially introduce a new mid-range graphics card - the Radeon RX 5500 XT. Immediately after the announcement, sales of new items will begin, and on the eve of this event, its recommended prices became known. And we immediately notice that the prices turned out to be quite affordable.
As previously reported, the Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card will be available in two versions, which will differ in the amount of GDDR6 video memory. According to VideoCardz, the low-end version with 4GB of memory will cost $169, while the more advanced version with 8GB will cost $199. Note that these are AMD's recommended prices, and many versions from AIB partners can and will cost more.
The Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card should be a direct competitor to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, which starts at $210 in the US. In Russia, this NVIDIA accelerator can be bought at a price of 13 rubles. Let's assume that the new AMD will cost about the same or slightly cheaper. True, at first the price can be significantly higher.
Recall that the Radeon RX 5500 XT will be built on the Navi 14 GPU in a version with 1408 stream processors. The base clock frequency of this GPU will be 1607 MHz, the average gaming frequency will be 1717 MHz, and the maximum frequency in Boost mode will be 1845 MHz. Note that for versions with different amounts of memory, the frequencies and GPU configuration will not differ.
Finally, VideoCardz has posted some new images of non-reference Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics cards. These are PowerColor, Sapphire and XFX accelerators. Interestingly, PowerColor will offer one model in the reference version.
