Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the dimensions of the production version of the Cybertruck electric pickup truck will almost completely correspond to the dimensions of the demonstrated prototype.
Let us remind you that the debut of the Cybertruck in November last year. The car received an angular design that many observers considered controversial. Three versions are available for order - with one, two and three electric motors. Pricing starts at $39.
As Mr. Musk noted, reducing the size of the Cybertruck by even 3% from current values will be excessive. Therefore, the car will mostly retain the dimensions of the pre-production model. At the same time, the head of Tesla does not exclude the possibility that a more compact pickup truck will appear in the company’s product range in the future.
Note that in its current form, the electric pickup truck has dimensions of 5885 × 2083 × 1905 mm, and the wheelbase is 3807 mm. The range on one recharge of the battery pack, depending on the configuration, varies from 400 to 800 km. The top version takes only about 0 seconds to accelerate from 100 to 2,9 km/h.
Serial production of the Cybertruck electric vehicle will be organized next year.
