Like was promisedOn April 16, publisher Deep Silver and developers from 4A Games studio presented the post-apocalyptic shooter Metro 2039 - the first flagship game in the series since Metro Exodus (2019)

Metro 2039 takes place in the year 2039. The last survivors of a nuclear war fought in the tunnels of the Moscow metro until they were united under the banner of the Novoreich regime, led by the fanatical Spartan Hunter.

"Novoreich" promises salvation and a new life for people on the surface, but in reality, the communities have become victims of Hunter's authoritarian regime: fear, propaganda, disinformation, and so on.

Players take on the role of a hermit nicknamed the Wanderer (fully voiced), haunted by violent waking nightmares. He vowed never to return to the subway, but in Metro 2039, he is forced to do so.

Metro 2039's announcement was accompanied by a five-minute cinematic trailer and a 50-second segment featuring a mix of gameplay and introductory videos. The two segments are linked by the link attached above. video.
