Support for the universal data exchange method of Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo was introduced into their smartphones at the beginning of 2020. They will also introduce support for the peer-to-peer protocol (P2P) for data transfer Mobile Direct Fast Exchange, which formed the basis of the technology.
Thanks to this cooperation, more than 400 million owners of devices from all the above manufacturers will be able to transfer files in just one click, without using third-party applications. The technology works by analogy with Apple AirDrop.
The Chinese counterpart supports working with a wide variety of file formats - you can even share entire folders with each other. The protocol supports data transfer at speeds up to 20 MB / s, which is much more efficient than transferring files using the same Bluetooth.
