Microsoft's gaming division is set to livestream its Inside Xbox event on May 7th. It will talk about new games for the future Xbox Series X console. This event will be dedicated to games from third-party teams, and not internal studios Xbox Game Studios. It will definitely show game footage of the recently announced action game from Ubisoft.
Starting May 7, Microsoft is going to report new information every month until the end of the year about what is happening with the development of the new console and games for it.
Microsoft's gaming division also that the release of Halo Infinite will take place along with the start of sales of the Xbox Series X. Despite the difficulties that have arisen due to the new coronavirus pandemic, all parties involved in development will try to meet the deadline. At the same time, the company cannot vouch for projects from other studios. Many developers have to work from home while maintaining social distancing.
It should be added that the last time a game from the Halo series was released along with the launch of a new game console was in 2001, when sales of the very first Xbox began. Then Halo: Combat Evolved appeared on store shelves.
The company also confirmed that 15 game projects are being developed by internal game studios for the Xbox Series X console and the Xbox Game Pass service. Teams are working hard to get the new system up and running in time.
The Xbox resource notes that not all of these games have already been officially presented. Some of the yet to be announced projects may be shown at the next Inside Xbox event, which will take place in July.
PC players have not been forgotten either. Microsoft has confirmed that all "major" games will appear on PC and will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at the same time as the console versions. In this case, we are talking about Halo Infinite, Wasteland 3, the new Microsoft Flight Simulator and other projects.
