The new Microsoft Edge browser for PC hasn't even reached the beta status yet (there are only Canary and Dev), and the developers are already in the assembly for Android the ability to synchronize favorites.
In the mobile OS version 42.0.2.3420, the feature is enabled for all users. Previously, it was available only to some. For now, this feature only supports syncing favorites, but we plan to transfer passwords, autofill data, tabs, and more in the future. In general, about the same as competing products.
The idea of ββusing synchronization is also quite clear. Today, many people use smartphones and tablets, so it is logical to expect that the same browser will be on all platforms. The same passwords can be entered on a PC, while on mobile devices they will be synchronized automatically.
Of course, for now, this feature is more of a product development reminder than a real tool. While Chromium-based Microsoft Edge for PC is available, like any earlier version, it has issues. In particular, this slower than other browsers.
However, Redmond seems to be enthusiastic and believe that the new browser will improve the market for Microsoft. How it will actually be - it will become clear by the end of the year, when the company releases the release version.
