According to online sources, Microsoft is preparing to begin testing the next major update to its software platform. Windows 10, which will become available to a wide range of users in the first half of next year. We are talking about Windows 10 (2021), which is codenamed Iron (Fe).

A recent post on Microsoft's official blog stated, among other things, that DirectML and NVIDIA CUDA support would become available to Insiders participating in the early access program when testing of the next version of the software platform, codenamed Iron (Fe), began. Interestingly, this post was later amended. The name of the upcoming version Windows 10 disappeared, and instead information appeared that the mentioned features will become available to Insider Program participants when the next rs_prerelease build becomes available in early access.
Early access program participants are currently testing Windows 10 20H2. This update is not expected to bring any significant changes and will be available to a wide range of users this fall. The deleted message also stated that testing Windows 10 (2021) codenamed Iron (Fe) will begin in June, which means Windows 10 20H2 will be leaving Early Access very soon.
Even though Microsoft has removed the code name Windows 10 (2021) and the start date of testing, launching this process in June seems entirely justified, as it will give the developers enough time to fix as many bugs as possible. As a reminder, testing of the Windows 10 May 2020 Update (2004), which is scheduled to be available to users next week, began in February of last year.
