Microsoft Won't Support PHP 8.0 for Windows

Dale Hirt, PHP Project Manager at Microsoft warned developers that the company will not support the branch PHP 8.0 for windows. For the PHP 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4 branches, Microsoft engineers provided build support, specific bug fixes, and development for the Windows platform. For branch 8.0 this work have to hosted by community members interested in running PHP on Windows.

For PHP 7.3 and 7.4 for Windows, Microsoft will continue to be involved in maintaining them until the end of the official two-year life cycle of these branches, and will also help fix vulnerabilities in the PHP 7.2 branch, which will end support in November.
