Microsoft has launched a preload of the Gears 5 game client for a multiplayer technical test. According to GameSpot, the opening of the servers is scheduled for July 19, 20:00 Moscow time.

The game is available to download now from the Xbox Store for PC and Xbox One. The game client is 10,8 GB on Xbox One. Microsoft claims that the game will take about the same amount on PC.

Testing will take place in two stages. The first will take place from July 19 to July 22, the second - from July 26 to 29. During the test, users will be able to play three modes: Arcade, Escalation, and King of the Hill. All matches will take place on two maps - "District" (Disctrict) and "Training grounds" (Training Grounds). Also, players will be able to take training in Bootcamp mode, where they will be taught the basic mechanics of the shooter.

Access to Gears 5 testing requires an Xbox Game Pass subscription or pre-order of the game. More information about the beta test can be found here.

Earlier, the YouTuber posted on the Web a recording of the match in the Escalation mode. In it, players are divided into two teams that fight each other for control points.
