Microsoft plans to release an 85-inch version of the Surface Hub 2 display

It has become known that Microsoft developers are preparing to launch an 85-inch version of the Surface Hub 2 conference room display. The device was demonstrated at a press conference held in New York. If the 50-inch display model, which went on sale earlier, has an aspect ratio of 3:2, then the new product is made in a 16:9 format.

Unlike the smaller version Surface Hub 2, which can be used to form a single screen from four 50-inch displays, the larger model is intended for established companies that need something more. At the previously mentioned press conference, the display was sandwiched between two 50-inch models, allowing the impressive size to be showcased in all its glory. The retail price of the new product and the start date of sales, unfortunately, were not announced. We only know that the first deliveries of the 85-inch Surface Hub 2 monitor should begin next year.

Let us remind you that the retail price of the first generation Surface Hub displays is about $9000. The device supports the Microsoft Teams service, which allows collaboration. There is a long-range microphone and a PTZ camera, which can be used for making video calls and holding meetings remotely. Most likely, more detailed information regarding the new product will be released closer to the start of official sales.
