Microsoft confirms it's aware of KB4535996 update issue

Many people have heard about the problems with the KB4535996 update for Windows 10. After installation (if it occurs at all) they may appear “blue screens of death”, loading times slow down, FPS drops in games. There have also been problems with SignTool, Explorer, Task Manager, Desktop, and so on. Update no mercy even sleep mode.

Microsoft confirms it's aware of KB4535996 update issue

This is not the first day that these shortcomings have been noted. But only now Microsoft is partially confirmed their availability and promised that the fix would be available in mid-March. More specifically, we are talking only about the problem with SignTool, BSOD, as well as loading slowdowns and performance problems. However, there is no temporary solution yet, we just have to wait for a fresh patch.

At the moment, Redmond recommends removing KB4535996, after which you need to open the “Updates and Security” section in the system and pause the update for 7 days. It is assumed that after this everything should return to normal.

It's ironic that the KB4535996 patch was supposed to fix a number of problems with Windows search, but it brought new glitches. Let's hope that future updates won't be so problematic. However, the release version of Windows 10 (2004) is still ahead.
