Microsoft company a new build of a future version of Windows 10, which will be released in the spring of 2020. Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18970 includes a lot of new features, but the most interesting is the new version of tablet mode for Windows XNUMX.
For the first time, such a mode appeared in 2015, although before that they tried to make it basic in Windows 8/8.1. But then there were few tablets, and on desktops it was clearly inconvenient. But the version for the βtensβ also had problems. In particular, full-screen mode and the lack of a normal desktop have done their dirty work.
Available in build 18970, the new tablet mode will no longer be displayed in full screen and will allow you to interact with the basic desktop. This version has the following innovations:
- Increased spacing between taskbar icons.
- The search window on the taskbar is minimized to an icon.
- "Explorer" switches to a version adapted to the fingers.
- The touch keyboard automatically appears when you tap on a text field (finally!).
