Microsoft Surface Book 3 with NVIDIA Quadro graphics will start at $2800

Microsoft is now preparing several portable computers at once, one of which is the Surface Book 3 mobile workstation. About a week ago on the Web details appeared about the various configurations of this system. Now WinFuture resource editor Roland Quandt presented updated data on the upcoming novelty.

As previously reported, Microsoft is preparing two main versions of the Surface Book 3 - with 13,5-inch and 15-inch displays. Each of them, of course, will be available in several configurations with different equipment and, accordingly, the price.

The most affordable will be the 13,5-inch Surface Book 3 with a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. According to previous leaks, the Core i5-10210U (Comet Lake-U) will be used here, although the appearance of the Core i5-1035G1 of the Ice Lake-U family is not excluded. Also, discrete graphics are not expected here. However, this version of the laptop will cost $1700.

All other modifications of the Surface Book 3 13 will offer Core i7 processors and some discrete GeForce GTX graphics. As the central processor, according to previous rumors, will act Core i7-10510U. As discrete graphics, the GeForce GTX 1650, GTX 1650 Ti or even GTX 1660 Ti can be used. In all cases, we are talking about Max-Q accelerators.

The cost of such a laptop with 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD will be $2000. For a version with twice the amount of both memory, they will ask for $ 2500 already. Finally, a version with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD will cost $2700.

As for the larger version of the Surface Book 3, Core i7 and GeForce GTX will also be offered in the basic modification. It will probably be the same CPU and GPU as the more compact version. Also, this novelty will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD. It will cost $2300.

Older versions of the Surface Book 3 15 will be equipped with a professional NVIDIA Quadro accelerator, although it is not specified which one. I would like to believe that these will be some powerful Quadro RTX based on Turing. Also in these laptops will be Core i7, 32 GB of RAM and from 512 GB to 2 TB of SSD storage. The cost will be from $2800 to $3400.
