Recall that District Judge Lucy Koh refused to grant Qualcomm's request for a stay of execution of the court decision in the case brought against it by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and ordered that Qualcomm license its technologies to competing chip makers, including Taiwan's MediaTek and HiSilicon, the chip manufacturing division of Huawei Technologies.

Qualcomm is asking for a stay of enforcement of the ruling while its appeal is pending before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Previously, the US Department of Justice Antitrust Office asked Lucy Koch to hold an additional hearing before making her decision, but she refused.
