It is reported that shipments of these devices in the period from January to March inclusive amounted to approximately 36,7 million units. This is 5% less than last year's result, when shipments were 38,7 million units.

Apple remains the global market leader. Moreover, this company was able to increase shipments year-on-year by about 9%, which is explained by the release of new iPad tablets in March. The share of the "apple" empire - 27,1%.

Samsung is in second place: demand for the South Korean giant's tablets fell by 9% over the year. Now the company holds 13,1% of the world market.

Huawei closes the top three, increasing shipments by about 8%. According to the results of the last quarter, the company occupied 9,6% of the industry.

If we consider the market in terms of software platforms, Android-based tablets accounted for 58,9% of the total shipments. Another 27,1% came from iOS. The share of Windows gadgets was 13,6%.
